For over 40 years I have specialized in the repair, restauration and modification of Sansui audio equipment from 1965 to 1985.
In general my passion for audio equipment from this period has lead to an expertise that is internationally recognized.
Brands like Accuphase, Marantz, Luxman, Yamaha, Akai, Pioneer and many more have produced fabulous equipment before the decline set in during the 1980-ies.
What I do
Repair
Repair of Sansui equipment, where possible with original parts.
Generally a full overhaul (see restauration) is recommended, but a defect-focused repair can be carried out if so desired.
Restauration
Most equipment will benefit a lot from a full overhaul; replacing all capacitors and most transistors will make your amplifier, tuner, receiver etc, better than new. This is generally the most efficient as well as effective approach.
Modification
Replacing speaker connectors and input connectors for more modern types, gold plated or standard, fitting a 3-wire mains cable for modern safety and better shielding from modern sources of interference such as wifi, DAB, Bluetooth, GSM etc will greatly improve the usability of any vintage device.

About me
Almost 50 years ago at the age of 13 I built my first amplifier. A valve (vacuum tube) design, from a booklet. Bitten by the bug, electronics in general and audio equipment, especially Sansui equipment, became my expertise, both in my work for a variety of employers, as well as at home.
